I am Calling it Quits...sort of...
As I learn about you, I also learn about me and well, I am the type of gal who says yes A LOT and then ends up stretched too thin. Sound familiar? Keep reading ⬇️⬇️⬇️
I coach what I need coaching on and well, I am a recovering people-pleaser too!
I still say yes too much
I still think I can be all things to all people as long as I know who I am (it doesn’t work that way)
I still struggle to put my needs first
That is what I mean by default patterns.
Your pattern of people-pleasing and being all things to all people was your survival in a chaotic and unpredictable situation. Of course you carry those default patterns with you and they get called up unconsciously when overwhelm or fear set in. This might look like:
Am I doing enough?
Should I have done that differently?
Are they unhappy? How can I make them happy?
This is the very predicament I find myself in right now.
I got into fear mode and I spread myself too thin trying to be all things to all people. I thought if I offered all kinds of wonderful and valuable content, I would attract in so many people that desired my support and it didn’t work that way. In fact, it worked the opposite way.
I confused a lot of people and I created a lot of emails in your inbox so you really don’t even have time to pay attention to the valuable content I am sending you.
So, what does this mean for you?
It means two things:
This Substack will be scaled back to one issue each month. It will be packed with valuable content that will support you and it will still include an Upleveled area. The only difference is it won’t clutter your inbox once or twice each week.
